My friend Judy and I came into your store on 3/9/07, and it was my first time there.  I must
admit, I was a little skeptical of all the products on the shelves, not really knowing if they
were just another gimmick or not.

Martha talked to us for a long time, explaining about the importance of balancing the
fats/carbs/proteins.  I have never before heard it explained by anyone in the way she
explained it to me.  Suddenly it all made sense to me, when she gave me a 25/100/100
ratio!  Bingo!  I finally had something that made sense.  So simple, yet so important.  I knew
she believed in what she was telling me and I knew it was truth.

I walked out of the store with a sack of goodies and a new life ahead of me!  I KNEW this
was going to work.

I've never dieted or attempted any of the crazy schemes, but I have been a carb addict,
which created a major blood sugar challenge.  My fasting blood sugar was nearly 300 when
the doctor told me 4 years ago that I'm "diabetic", and even with meds, I rarely get below a
fasting 160.  I was determined to change my readings with food and exercise, yet I never
had the energy to exercise, and really didn't understand what to eat and what not to eat.  I
fell into a vicious circle.  Meds didn't seem to work and I was so reluctant to increase meds
because I was going to be one of these people who would never have to take meds,
because I know how terrible they are to the system and only cover the problem, but never
remedy it.  I've been on meds for 4 years, and always seem to have those drastic swings in
blood sugar even on meds.  I hate taking them!!!

When I walked out of your store on that first day, I made a commitment to myself that I was
going to do exactly what Martha told me to do!  I happened to stumble upon Calorie King
online the next day and saw that it was going to be my next "saving grace".  I did a 7 day
trial of the program and was amazed at the ease of keeping track of all the statistics. I
bought the program at the end of the trial.

A few days later, Judy and I took another friend into the store to get her started, and we
met Mike that day.  He was equally as informative as Martha and it was so great talking to
him.  

Here it is today, my 11th day....I've lost 8 pouunds!!!  Down 2" in my waist.  Fasting blood
sugar was 119 today, which is the lowest it's EVER been!  I haven't taken meds in 3 days,
because my blood sugar was dropping so quickly with meds. I'm not hungry, yet it seems I
eat all the time, and I'm constantly looking for food in order to get enough calories, carbs,
and protein in for the day.  I have to laugh when I sit down at the computer and think, "Oh
gee.....I have to eat so much more today to get those numbers up!"  I'm actually hunting for
a food to increase my calories....who would have thought that would ever happen???  I
can't imagine how many calories I used to eat that were so empty in nutrition, yet left me
searching for more in order to satisfy my hunger.  I'm no longer afraid of carbs because I
now know to always combine a protein (THANK YOU MARTHA!!!)  I thought she was crazy
to think I could get by on 1000 calories a day!

Oh yeah.....Not only is Calorie King wonderful to keep track of foods---but I found myself
having to be accountable for drinking water and exercising now.  I was going to bed the
other night and realized I didn't have enough time in for exercising that day and actually got
on my indoor bike at 2:30 in the morning!  Not a good idea, because it wound me up so
much I couldn't go to sleep....but at least I got the exercise in!

Thank you all so much for opening my eyes and showing me the way.  I'll see you in a few
days!
